Gujarat Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi claimed that the credit of Information Technology (IT) revolution in Karnataka should go to the NDA government led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Addressing a big rally of BJP supporters and workers in Bangalore, he said “Our NDA government at the Centre is responsible for the phenomenal growth of Bangalore. The NDA government set up a separate ministry for the IT and it led to a revolution in Karnataka”.

Trying to attract the educated, young voters, Modi heaped praise over Bangalore’s transformation into world’s second largest IT city in less than 20 years. He said that Bangalore was India’s pride and if voted to power he would improve it better.
